What "flavor" of PCI is your card and into what generation of DL360 are you trying to insert it? Is it a 64-bit card? Is it 3.3v or 5.0v or Universal etc etc.

Re: ISDN PCI Card for dl360

Ok, sorry for not giving all the infos.

I think that the dl360G6 has PCIe slots and my avm isdn-card is pci.

So i will need a PCIe ISDN Card which I actually found:

But I just tought somebody might know a card wich would also work and might not cost so much.

Re: ISDN PCI Card for dl360

I didn't see in the quick glance I gave the QuickSpecs for the G6, but the G5 had an optional riser kit that changed the PCI-e ports to PCI-X

PCI-X Riser option (PN 405154-B21)

Don't know if this will work in a G6 or not, but might be worth checking out.

Re: ISDN PCI Card for dl360

Thanks for your reply but pci-x also does not give me the option to insert a "normal" PCI ISDN card.

Re: ISDN PCI Card for dl360

If there is a PCI-X option available for the G6's, it will be listed. Given all the layout differences between a G5 and a G6 I really doubt that a cage from a G5 will have any way to be used in a G6.

As for PCI-X not allowing a PCI card, if the PCI card is 3.3v then yes, to my understanding, it can be used in a PCI-X slot. If, however, the PCI card is 5.0v, it cannot as PCI-X only provides 3.3v power. That is why I was asking the author about the specifics of his "PCI" card.

The DL360 G6 Quickspecs:
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13235_na/13235_na.html

do suggest an option to have one of the two expansion slots be PCI-X, but it does not state if that is an option that must be selected at time of order or if it can be done after the fact in the field with an upgrade kit.
