Install MS 2016 OS on HPE Proliant DL360 Gen10 with dual port HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 562FLR Adap
Hi,
We are installing the Microsoft 2016 operating system into an HPE Prolainr DL360 Gen 10 with a 727054-B21 HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 562FLR-SFP+ Adapter. The BIOS can see both network ports.
One network port is connect via a DAC cable. The second network port is not connected to anything at this stage, but it will be later.
From the operating system we can see the port with the cable connected, but we are unable to see the 2nd port.
We would like to team these ports, but do not want to have to reboot the system when the cable is installed.
Is this "normal" behaviour from MS Windows 2016?
Any advise appreciated.
Kind regards
Andrew Rycroft

Hello ;
I recommended you to update your server with the last SPP (Service pack for Proliant);
Good Luck

Hi A.W.R,
Try connecting with both ports and check the port visiblity, if you want to do teaming then connect both port and do the teaming in server manager then later on you can utilize the DAC. if the connectivity is not visible then go for the SPP update.
