Mutiple instance of MSA vdisk

I have a Prolient DL380 G7 (windows 2008) which connects to a MSA1500 via Fibre channel switch. The switch and MSA also serves a number of vdisk to Alpha servers running OpenVMS.  I created a vdisk on the MSA for the Proilent, but the Prolient disk manager show two instances of the same vdisk.  Why?
