Be sure to compare the output of "show term ltaXXXX" on both the machine that works and the machine that fails.

There may be a startup file that modifies the terminal characteristics or the defaults may be different from V7.2-1 and V8.3.

Anotoniov,

I concur with Hoff. I will make the supplemental note that it will be FAR easier to convince support that something is amiss if the LAN trace (WireShark is available at no cost) and serial trace (U-adapter and C-Kermit will do here) are already available for both Alpha and Itanium (preferably the same OS level).

Solved.
Changed printer and used xon/xoff flow.
