Re: Martin's head is covered!

Hallo Martin,

all the best to Martin in D from Martin in the
US! In which part of Germany do you live? I think PDV has several locations.

Greetings, Martin

Re: Martin's head is covered!

Martin Z,

I still owed you some points, but you refused to report to collect them :-)

So I take this opportunity to force them upon you.

Cheers.

Re: Martin's head is covered!

Hi,

thank you all. It feels great to be part of such a fine community.

Antonio: Google worked fine. It's just the *&$?: umlauts...

Ian: It really is a d|i|g|i|t|a|l VMS cap ;-)

Uwe: Next year at the DECUS symposium? Already a fixed entry in my agenda.

Bojan: I leave traces in whatever software I port to VMS ;-)

MPJZ: I'm in Goslar, at the Harz mountains, at the company's HQ (really too big a name...)

Volker: Looking forward to it.

Willem: With the few hair I got left, a cap is a *must*... ;-)

Martin

Re: Martin's head is covered!

Martin,
I'll really try it, but some things are out of my control. I wanted to go to the TUD last month and everything looked fine, but then I bumped into a software problem (I really wish I could bill Bill for all the lost time...).

I wish that were true. But let's face it, although VMS is far from dead, the number of newbies to VMS is at a ratio from 1 to 100 compared to the rookies in the MickeySoft corner.
Overhere, we're with 3 forty-something (that' our age) guys managing close to 80 VMS systems, while the rest of the corridor is crowded with MickeySoft people (at least 20) managing about 40 WingDogs servers. And in the application development group, it's even worse.

Sad but true.

I'll have a Duvel tonight for consolation.

Cheers,

Kris
