How can I insert character "`" and "~" in vi?
I can press character "'" and "~" in terminal window. But I cann't press "`" and "~" in vi. My keyboard was made in Germany. FABRIQUE EN ALLEMAGNE. Model NO. LK461-A2.

Did you press also the space bar after ~ or ` ?

Why you can't insert those characters? You can't find it? As said above, you should press space after the ` character.
Try with CTRL+V also before pressing those characters.

I can input "`" and "~" now. But how to press the "Esc" key. "'" "~" and "Esc" are the same key.
