Re: Install 5.A on Logical disk array?

Mario,

first check on the console prompt with
show dev
whether the host sees the drive.
Is that a new installation? Has the drive been formatted with the rcu utility?
May I assume, it is an Alpha server?

Hi,

Yes I can see they with show dev option.
I was intalled an old version 4.0D and it work's good with the same configuration of the logical disks, but the new version 5.1A not see it.

Re: Install 5.A on Logical disk array?

Hi,

I vaguely remember that sometimes it is necessary to zero the boot_dev variable on the console prompt.
so try
set boot_dev_def ""
Can you post show boot* and show dev?

Re: Install 5.A on Logical disk array?

Yes Michael, I can put bootdef_dev on a logical drive, that's not a problem.

The problem it when the 5.1A Installer display a message that my system don't have any disk....

Well I don't know how I can make to it saw the disks.

I go to chance the RAID 5 to another or use a separate disk to install the system.

Thanks.

The old version work's fine and not have problems.
