Trying to Upgrade from ESXI 6.7 to 7.0.3
I am at 6.7 build 19997733 on a Proliant DL360 Gen 10
I am trying to upgrade to HPE Custom 7..0.3
I have imported the .iso and created a baseline.
The error that I get is the following:
The upgrade has VIBs that are missing dependencies: HPE_bootbank_ssacli_4.17.6.0-6.7.0.7535516.hpe Remove the VIBs or use Image Builder to create a custom upgrade ISO image that contains the missing dependencies, and try to upgrade again
I have reached out to VMWare support, and they had me try and upgrade via the profile. That didnt work because the same issue came up.
I have found while search to remove the .vib and reboot the host, and then it will work. I am not sure if thats the case.
Any help is apprecaited.
Thanks

Re: Trying to Upgrade from ESXI 6.7 to 7.0.3
I have attempted this, VMWare suggested this and i still get the vib error.
Everywhere I have been reading says to remove it.
Vmware support said for me to reach out to HP for hardware support on it....

Re: Trying to Upgrade from ESXI 6.7 to 7.0.3
Thats the error when I try to goto 7.0.0:
esxcli software profile update --depot=/vmfs/volumes/5d376695-a9923fae-6489-20677cd62ca4/VMware-ESXi-7.0.0-16324942-HPE-700.0.0.10.5.5.32-Jun2020-depot.zip -p HPE-Custom-AddOn_700.0.0.10.5.5-46
[DependencyError]
VIB VMW_bootbank_vmkusb_0.1-4vmw.670.3.159.18828794 requires vmkapi_incompat_2_5_0_0, but the requirement cannot be satisfied within the ImageProfile.
Please refer to the log file for more details.
and when I try to goto 7.0.3:
esxcli software profile update --depot=/vmfs/volumes/5d376695-a9923fae-6489-20677cd62ca4/VMware-ESXi-7.0.3-19482537-HPE-703.0.0.10.9.0.11-Apr2022-depot.zip -p HPE-Custom-AddOn_703.0.0.10.9.0-11
[DependencyError]
VIB HPE_bootbank_ssacli_4.17.6.0-6.7.0.7535516.hpe requires esx-version << 7.0.0, but the requirement cannot be satisfied within the ImageProfile.
Please refer to the log file for more details.

Re: Trying to Upgrade from ESXI 6.7 to 7.0.3
Hi,
Did you manage to resolve this issue? We have the same issue when trying to upgrade from v7 to v8.
Regards,
Justin
