hp cd wiiter + 8200i

why does my writer not reconize cd's
audio or data. It just sits there and spins.

It may rexonnize some cd after about fiv or ten minues,

Melvin,

The laser is probably out of alignment. If you aren't able to read known good media, its time to replace that 8200i.
