HP Elitebook 840 G7/G8 - CPU fan control on battery power
Is there a way to make CPU fan run while on battery power on HP Elitebook 840 G8? I’ve tried regedit workarounds which allow to unhide Processor power management options (system cooling policy) - but these don’t seem to change anything.
The CPU fan spins when the laptop is plugged in but not when on battery power. BIOS settings only seem to have an option “CPU fan alway on when on AC power”.
Is there an option I’m missing in BIOS or some 3rd party software which would work with this particular model and enable CPU fan when the laptop is running on battery power?
