Install UFT 14.02 on a PC that had previously had UFT 12.52 and run in trial mode
I'm trying to install a trial version of UFT 14.02 on a PC that previously had version 12.52 installed (and has be de-intsalled) that connected to our autopass licence server (v9.0), but I can't get the trial version to run. It detects the licence server and indicates there are no valid license available. There are licences available but these would be for version UFT V12.
Is there any way of getting the new UFT V14.02 to bypass the license server and run in trial mode ?
I don't really want to update the licence server with updated V14 licenses until I have evaluated v14 standalone. I also don't want o have to request a new PC or VM to conduct the trial.
Does anybody know how I can get UFT V14 to run on the existing PC which had v12 installed previously ?

Hi,
UFT and HPE software are now part of Micro Focus, so you will need to repost your question to the new Micro Focus Community at https://community.softwaregrp.com/ . You can use the same credentials to log in.

You need to provide feedback to MF that that URL was obsolete in May 2017. The current URL is:
https://community.softwaregrp.com/t5/UFT-Practitioners-Forum/bd-p/sws-Fun_TEST_SF
@Parvez_Adminprovided you the URL of the top of the new forum.

Re: Install UFT 14.02 on a PC that had previously had UFT 12.52 and run in trial mode
Thanks Dennis,
I've let MicroFocus know about the URL issue.
On the note from Parvez_AL about being able to use the same logon credentials, I tried that and they weren't recognised (my be I've misunderstood what Parvez_AL meant) I needed to set up the details again on the community/softwaregrp.com site.
Thanks again for your help.

As I suspected. It was valid before the recent change in the forum URL or perhaps before the companies split. And would probably never be true for new users.
