PCM random port dropouts
Hi All,
We are currently evaluating PCM4 and have hit upon a strange issue. Basically, at entirely random times, it reports a loss of link several ports on one switch, a 2900-48, closely followed by the link being re-established on these ports. These are all on the same vLAN.
During this outage, the ESX hosts which these ports are connected to also report the loss of connectivity.
We have another switch that is configured exactly the same in regards to firmware etc. and we get no such errors; these are the only two devices set up in PCM. There is also nothing obvious occuring on the network at this time.
Our troubleshooting steps so far have been to turn off the server running PCM for a few days(the issue didn't occur during this time) and have re-installed PCM to no avail. The switches have also been manually discovered.
As stated, the error is entirely random and it can go a few days without appearing.
Any suggestions?
