PCM+ v4 --- Does it work for Cisco Devices at all ?

Hi,

I am new to HP PCM+ and trying to work with Cisco switches like 3750s.

I able to detect it fine but couldn't able to retrieve its configuration.

Keep getting this error "Device is not currently supported".

I have verified the cisco3750.oid files too ... but no luck.

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Re: PCM+ v4 --- Does it work for Cisco Devices at all ?

is anyone out there using PCM+ with Cisco devices ?

Please confirm if PCM+ is meant to work for  HP products only.

I have already spent several days to troubleshoot PCM to get it to work with a cisco switch but no luck.

my goal is to download running configuration from a cisco switch and can do it on a regular basis.

Re: PCM+ v4 --- Does it work for Cisco Devices at all ?

Hi, PCM platform is mainly focused to manage HP switches. For third party products there is very limited support. Here you can see device/features which are supported in PCM:

For multiplatform management, HP IMC is the way.

Re: PCM+ v4 --- Does it work for Cisco Devices at all ?

Thank you so much showneek.

I have tried HP IMC ... and it worked well for my cisco device like cisco vpn 881, 831 etc.

It seemlessly able to download the configuration from these cisco routers and capture any changes i have made.

Now next thing is to find out how much it will cost for 500 devices.

But again, thanks alot for helping me to look in the right direction.
