Can't Update SSD Hard Drive Firmware

I've downloaded CP041557 firmware update for the ssd's in some of my servers, but the update doesnt seem to work. My SSD model is LK1600GEYMV

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What firmware is currently running?

ALso note this:

Online firmware flashing of drives attached to a Smart Array controller running in Zero Memory (ZM) mode is NOT supported. Only offline firmware flashing of drives is supported for these configurations

It's running firmware HPG2

I've tried running it with the drives offline and I get the same results.

Did you try booting the current SPP 2019.12?

I did not try that, because the current SPP says it only support Gen 10 servers, Mine are Gen 8

Do you have such zero memory controller?

No, it's a "Smart Array P2201/512MB FBWC Controller w/ battery".
