Compaq Proliant 3000 keeps rebooting every 26 minutes

I am running NT 4 SP6 and the error that comes up is:

The Compaq system management driver has detected that the system encountered an NT bugcheck prior to this boot. The bugcheck data was: STOP: 0x0000000A (0x100C0020, 0x00000001, 0x8010A999)

Anyone ever run into this?

Re: Compaq Proliant 3000 keeps rebooting every 26 minutes

Hi David:

Most of the time this error is Driver related;

1- would go to the bios if G1 and update the SCU F10,

2- Reapply HP proliant support paq for NT
which is 6.31 the latest version.

3- if you have added 3rd party hardware and installed driver; remove the hardware and go to F10 and update the SCU.

ProLiant Support Pack for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 version 6.31 A (18 Jun 04)

Thank you for the reply. Any driver in particular though?

Re: Compaq Proliant 3000 keeps rebooting every 26 minutes

could be any driver;
- that is why when you apply the PSP ; that will reinstall all the CPQ drivers.

- now if you have 3rd party ; might have to reinstall drivers for that.

This issue was being persued by Microsoft as well. Who really didn't add any value to the solution. I am not trying to flame Microsoft, merely stating a fact. Thanks for this forum. We were able to remotely stabilize the system in London from California, and our highly visible users are able to perform again. The information was very valuable. Thanks again!
