Directory Support For Proliant Management Processors - Failing on ILO2
Post originally by GMMTC
Hi All,
i have seen various posts saying the ILO2 is not detected by DSFPMP, has this ever actually been fixed ??
i am currently trying 4.9 with Zero Success...
does a work around exist or is this an issue the HPE dont actually want to resolve ?
Thanks,

Re: Directory Support For Proliant Management Processors - Failing on ILO2
Warren,
The problem I've seen with ILO2's lately is they tend to hang up after having been online for so long.
I used v4.7 to find and update firmware for ILO2s, but I can't say I've tried 4.9 on 'em. HPE may have dropped support for the ILO2's in that utility.
My advice (obviously) is to replace the servers/gear that have 'em, as those boxes are probably close to 10 years old anyway. YES, I am fully aware that is easier said than done - I still have a few of 'em around despite my best efforts.
