DL-380 G9 SERVER BIOS REFERENCE

Good afternoon, evening,

We're starting to host some non company applications on servers we supply, and will be providing DL-380 g9 / g10 servers.

Most of my life, I've developed software, and haven't spent much time in the server/pc bios. the DL-380 is bad-as*, and has lots of settings.

Are there any reference guides to the HPE DL-380 bios?

I'll do the usual youtube searches, but need to become more familiar with the do/don'ts and any perfomance settings the

bios may provide.

Many thanks,

Bret Stern

The BIOS or UEFI for this server it's here.

Gen9 - https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=c04398276&docLocale=en_US&page=index.html

Gen10 -  https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=sd00001068en_us&docLocale=en_US&page=index.html

Do you need some specific feature or configurations?.

Re: DL-380 G9 SERVER BIOS REFERENCE

@F_Silva1 Thanks for the two links. I started reading the G9 document; should be a good start.

Our template test machines are:

DL-380 G9 Servers...Dual Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2680 v4 @ 2.40GHz

4 SSD drives..(not sure if they are SATA or SAS), but SAS SSD drives have better transfer rates (as I can tell).

256gb DDR4 RAM

10GB HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560FLR-SFP+ Adapter

While these aren't the latest/fastest by any stretch, performance is pretty solid.

As long as the customer feels the performance is there, I'm good, but why not get all the speed and performance I can.

As I get more specific questions, I'll see what the group feedback is.

Very Best,
