DL 380 gen8 System ROM

Hello every one 

can i add this system rom(2019.05.24(12 Jun 2019))   https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX-f999a22b47af43ca897c0835be#tab2

to the SPP 2019.09.0 or any other method to upgrade this from current ROM without OS.

It depends on if you have a DL380p or DL380e Gen8

Hi, 

Yes you can update your server with the latest system ROM. 

You can do it either ways. 

1. Download the SPP and create a custom image out of it and run it on server.

Make sure you extract the SPP iso and copy the BIOS file to the Packages folder. 

Run the hpesum on your laptop (windows) and use the above steps to create custom SPP (Including the BIOS package)

2. Simple and easiest way to update the BIOS. 
- Download the BIOS for windows (.exe ) onto your laptop.  Extract the .exe file and you will find a .flash file.

- Connect to ILO of the server you want to flash the BIOS -> Administration -> Firmware ---> Browse for the .flash file and proceed to update the BIOS. 

Note: Reboot is necessary after BIOS flash.

Based on the BIOS ROM version it appears you have DL380p Gen8,

Yes, you can add specified ROM to SPP2019.09.

Other method : Update from ILO console (Browse and select the binary file "CPQP7013.6B8" )

Download from below link and extract it, then you will see "CPQP7013.6B8" in the extracted folder.

I have tried it and it worked for me...2014 to 2019 BIOS rom update.
