DL320 RAID

Stock server with the exception of adding a second IDE hard drive and upgrading ram to 1GB.

Insert SmartStart 7.10 and it boots. During the boot phase, I can see that it finds the ATA-100 RAID Controller and both hard drives.

When I try to use SmartStart to change the RAID to RAID 1, it tells me it can't find a controller. Odd though, because in the "My Proliant Server" section, under PCI Device information, I can see it recognizes Device 2 as the ATA-100 IDE RAID controller.

Oye.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Re: DL320 RAID

Hi Kevin,

You have an ATA Raid you need to boot to F8 Option Rom Mega Raid untility to view the ATA Raid information or modify.

Smart Start is used to view and modify a Smart Array controller.

I hope this answer your question.
