DL360 G4 - multiproccesor config not supported BSOD
I have a DL36- G4 that was running Server 2008 64bit. I installed SP2 adn it never came back. Tried to install 2008 with SP2 integrated and I get the BSOD Multiprocessor_config_not_supported error. Is there a fix for this or am I limited to SP1?

Re: DL360 G4 - multiproccesor config not supported BSOD
Hi,
This usually occurs if incorrect processor packages are used, i.e if you have mixed different types of processors in single server.
Also see this link from Microsoft to get some hotfix.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973879/
Thanks.
I work for HPE.

Re: DL360 G4 - multiproccesor config not supported BSOD
Its got factory installed dual processors and everything reports they are the same processors. The hotfix mentioned comes up and says it does not pertain to my system.

Re: DL360 G4 - multiproccesor config not supported BSOD
Hi,
If you're sure that they are exactly the same, then check the BIOS and everything else installed. Are all the firmware components up to date in the system?
Is this a DL360 G4 or DL360 G4p?
