Re: DL370 G6 and NC375i issues

Like seriously...
Just got off the phone with HP support, and I must say....they...well nevermind. Basically i am trying to update the firmware of the NC522SFP and the nxflash_x64 utility does not work at all.. Keep getting NetUserGetInfo:failed

HP told me that its broken and that I need to replace the NIC....lazy answer...which i told him that

Can someone provide me the right syntax to update this? my is lan

Would really appreciate this

Re: DL370 G6 and NC375i issues

Hi Peter,

to install FW: C:\hp\sp47194>nxflash_x64.exe -i lan --all

to check version/status of NIC FW:

C:\hp\sp47194>nxflash_x64.exe -i lan --info

Hint: I was sometime wondering that start of nxflash_x64 with a domain admin account goes to error, but nxflash_x64.exe runs successfull if started with local built-in Administrator account...

PS: be informed, there is new NC-Series QLogic firmware v.10.0. (28.Mai2010).
Please give your feedback after your tests.

Kopp -

can you tell me where I can get this 10.0 firmware? We are still have issues under certain conditions with the 9.90 firmware and drivers for the NC375i on the DL370's.

Re: DL370 G6 and NC375i issues

Hi all,
firmware v10.10 from 09.Sept2010 is available now:(sp49369.exe for all Win 2003 and Win2008 OS).

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=de&cc=de&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3890172&swItem=MTX-7a1f1603174a4bb88854565813&prodNameId=3890173&swEnvOID=4024&swLang=13&taskId=135&mode=3

Can anyone confirm, that solved BPDU issue?
Thx.

Re: DL370 G6 and NC375i issues

I applyed FW 10.20 (15 Dec 2010 - SP50817.exe)and it did not solved the problem.

I boot in PXE then the port is down by the BPDU Guard:

Jan 4 14:57:54.565 CET: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface GigabitEthernet4/0/34, changed state to down
Jan 4 14:57:55.563 CET: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface GigabitEthernet4/0/34, changed state to down
Jan 4 14:57:56.058 CET: %SPANTREE-2-BLOCK_BPDUGUARD: Received BPDU on port GigabitEthernet4/0/34 with BPDU Guard enabled. Disabling port. (SW18SRVA-4)
Jan 4 14:57:56.058 CET: %PM-4-ERR_DISABLE: bpduguard error detected on Gi4/0/34, putting Gi4/0/34 in err-disable state (SW15558-4)
