Hi all,
What speed of backplane expander at dl 380 g8 25SFF, 12Gb or 6Gb?
In the documentaion (https://hwf.com.ua/content/uploads/files/user-guide-hpe-proliant-dl380e-generation8-gen8.pdf) page 95 ilustrated two mini-sas ports, so this two ports are four lanes with 6Gb or 12Gb per lane?
And about cable between backplane and controller... as i correctly understand cable mini-sas(SFF-8087) can be in two modifications, one with 26pins = 6Gb and anoter with 36pins = 12Gb. Am i wright?
So, 2nd question, hp's cable recomendation for raid controller p830:
- HP Internal SAS 68-pin SFF-8087 2x36-pin SFF-8087 Left Exit Cable (730603-B21)
- HP Internal SAS 68-pin SFF-8087 1x36-pin SFF-8087 Left Exit Cable (730612-B21)
- HP DL38Xp Gen8 25 Small Form Factor (SFF) P430/830 Cable Kit (729274-B21)
Are all this cables provide 12Gb?
Thanks!

Re: dl380 g8 25SFF , 12Gb or 6Gb?
Hi,
As far as I know, cables have no specification on speed unless its specified in the cable description.
The three option parts are not for DL380e Gen8, for more information, please see the QuickSpecs and Parts documents.

But this is part of gen8 servers.
In this document the p830 ( http://cdn.cnetcontent.com/18/24/182461ee-c75e-4c7e-ab27-2f02ec1897ff.pdf ) is a part of dl380e g8.
In your links i cannot find any information about type of mini-sas ports at backplane expander.
I find simillar topic ( https://community.hpe.com/t5/ProLiant-Servers-ML-DL-SL/ProLiant-DL380-Gen8-12G-controller/td-p/7040563#.YLXzLuywk0M ), but no answer on last question.
Thanks.

Re: dl380 g8 25SFF , 12Gb or 6Gb?
Hi,
Ok, cables 725601-B21, 737671-B21, 737673-B21 are 6Gb or 12Gb? :)) and what is the formfactor of this cables, at controller side - 8 lanes and at backplane side is 4lanes?
For example for cable 737673-B21 (6G SAS P430/830 Primary Cable Kit) bandwidth is defined.
And what about backplane expander for 25SFF model? Is mini-sas ports 6Gb or 12Gb?
Thanks.
P.S. If HP love codes without extended description on their parts, why it no documented? https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/default.aspx?cc=in&lc=en&oid=6328626
