Dual 8GB microSD EM USB Kit microSD -- questions

I'm trying to research product #741281-003, as shown in this picture, the one with the green HPE logo. with the red circle in it.

I 

If I can even find a place to buy this part, am I absolutely required to use HPE microSD cards or can I put in any two microSD cards?? HPE's microSD card prices are outrageous.

I know the USB makes a RAID 1 of two microSD cards, how does it do this?? If two cards are put in are they automatically RAID'ed??

BTW HPE tech support has been unhelpful with my questions about this device, telling me to call HPE Parts Company.

I still need to know if other larger microSD cards can be used, because otherwise VMware throws an error message about not enough storage room for log files. And I know people have gotten these with larger 32gb microSD cards.

AFAIR you need Gen9 server or newer that supports this device. Config is done in UEFI firmware.

These devices are not supported in Gen8 servers?? -- I thought they were.

Regarding 'HP 32GB SD Mainstream Flash Media Kit 700136-B21 for gen8', does this mean one can only install ONE (1) of this and install vSphere into it?? Can one install two of them for redundancy?? Can one use other SD cards??

Do the 'Dual 8GB microSD EM USB Kit microSD' not work at all in Gen8 servers??
