E 5440 processor in DL360 G5
Hi,
I'm trying to figure out if I can put a quad core E5440 processor in a DL360 G5. I've been looking on the net and seem to have found conflicting info. Currently the server has quad-core E5350 processors.
I found this link which suggests you possibly cannot - No E5440
I then found this link which suggests you can - Yes I can
So.......which is it? Is this simply a case of one piece of info being more current than another?
Cheers,
Tim

Re: E 5440 processor in DL360 G5
Hi,
go with the quickspecs.
If the CPU is listed in the quickspecs the CPU will work in the server.
The brochure (1st link) is Rev 1 February 2007.
While the quickspecs is "Version 67 - November 23, 2009 "
Changes done you can find by adding _changes to the URL.
