Hi all,
I have a proliant DL320 G1 that cannot boot. It has problems with memory. It makes diferent beeps when I change memory from one bank to another. Could anyone help me to know wich are the error codes of beeps? (e.g. two short one long beep, five short beeps, etc.)
Thank you in advance

Re: Error codes at bootup
Hello Edi,
It could be a video card problem. Please check the RAM. Worst case scenario may be system board is defective. Best way would be to reseat everything in your server. Please check all the cabling as well. I know there is not much to do in the server other then reseating the components.
Please let me know as to how you make out.
Regards,

Re: Error codes at bootup
Hi Sunil,
This server has Windos NT installed. During work, time to time it gives a blue screen "Hardware malfunction". It has three memory DIMMs. So I changed the board, as those DIMMs are working well in another server. But the new board does not boot at all. I have resetet all the parts of the server. So may be the new board is also defective?
Thank you.

Re: Error codes at bootup
Hello Edi,
Yes it is possible but sometimes it takes a couple of tries before the memory board snaps in properly.
