expand logical drive on HP - DL380 G7 on WINDOWS SERVER 2012 R2

hi ALL,

we have logical drive raid5 with 6 300GB physical disk, now replaced all 5 disks wich 600GB ones and we are going to replace the last 300GB one woth the 600GB one 

after this last replace with 600GB all disks will be 600GB,  so then we need to extend logical drive and then from windows disk managment resize the releted  D drive on server 

may you say me which is the correct procedure (steps) to do ??

Ibelow configuration from SMART ARRAY CONFIGURATION CONSOLE (VERSION 2.60.18.0):

Array B - 1  logica drive:

- 600 GB SAS HDD

- 600 GB SAS HDD

- 600 GB SAS HDD

- 600 GB SAS HDD

- 300 GB SAS HDD

- 600 GB SAS HDD

Hi Angelo,

 

Good Day. In this case please check if the controller supports extension of logical volume or not. If it does then you will be able to extend the logical drive and through disk management you can extend the logical drive with the below mentioned steps:-
