Expanding RAID 1 Capacity on Proliant ML350 With Smart Array 641 RAID Controller
Hi,
I have a Proliant ML350 Server running server 2003 SBS with an existing RAID 1 setup and need to expand HDD capacity. I have propagated the existing OS and data to larger drive by sequentially swapping in 2 larger HDD's. now I need to ge tthe free space recognized by the controller. Is this a simple matter of inputting larger drive sizes in the controller BIOS (F2) or is another procedure required?
Thanks Jeff

Re: Expanding RAID 1 Capacity on Proliant ML350 With Smart Array 641 RAID Controller
You now need to run ACU (Array Config Utility) either off the controller itself at boot time (F8 prompt) or by booting off a SmartStart CD.
This will allow you to either extend the logical drive into the new space or create a new logical drive in the new space.
