getting failed disk alerts from proliant servers
we have some servers that i've just found out the ilo doesn't tell you if you have a failed disk.
As currently we have ILO SMTP alerts.
So from what i understand you need agents installed to get these. Am i right in thinking these agents would be installed when installing using the smart start cd / intelligent provisioning.
If so how could I check these are installed? and if they are can you get the agent to email out, or do you have to HP SIM installed to collect these alerts?
Also blades have an OA which monitors them, would this alert for a failed disk on the blade? or is this just power issues?
and finally am i right in thinking that GEN8's do collect this info as they run ILO4 which does get disk alerts?
Thanks
