How to configure Raid 0 + 1 (or raid 10)

Just got a DL 380 with smart array 6i and 6 hard disks. When I used smart start to configure the array, after selecting 4 out of the 6 hard drives, I didn't see the option raid 0 + 1.

Could anybody tell me how to configure raid 0+1 or raid 10?

The Smart Array does not offer RAID 0+1, only RAID 0, RAID 1+0 , RAID 5 and RAID ADG.

You want RAID 1+0. Effectively, mirrored drives that are striped.

Thank you for pointing out that it's not an option in SmartStart?

When you said "mirrored drives that are striped", is it the same as if when I am in SmartStart, choose 4 drives, then tell it to use RAID 1+0 ?

Also, is there a tool besides SmartStart that I can use to configure RAID 10?

Whether you use Smart Start(Which runs ACU), the ACU or ORCA, you can NOT configure 0+1. Only 0, 1+0, 5 and ADG

The Smart Array has a bios utility called ORCA. You invoke it by pressing F8 after the Smart Array BIOS loads. It is limited in the sense that it only allows you to view, create and delete arrays and make limited settings changes..

There is also the ACU. If you can find a boot cd that has ACU on it, you can use it to configure the drives.

There is the Scripting Toolkit, which is a set of linux and/or DOS programs/scripts that allow you to script the configuration of a Smart Array.
