HP DL360 G8 Installing driver, controller and agents for System Management Homepage
After trying for several hours to make System Management Homepage show something more than 'No items'. I figured out the needed steps to make it work on HP DL360 G8 on Windows Server 2012R2.
Before anything else install SNMP Service from "Add roles and Features Wizzard". Find it in services console and go to Properties -> Security and at the 'Accepted community names' Add 'public'.
The drivers webpage at HP concerning this combination (DL360G8 & W2012R2) has a missing component so every attempt will fail. (I believe the appropriate team should take care of this , so no more admins waste their time)
In order for the System Management Homepage to work you need :
1. The "HP ProLiant iLO 3/4 Channel Interface Driver for Windows X64" . Which is nowhere to be found, but exists at the drivers download page for HP DL360 G9 (select OS Win2012R2) (cp024845.exe) from Driver - System Management. (takes care of this persistent yellow mark in the Device Manager)
2. The "Combined Chipset Identifier for Windows Server 2012" from the correct drivers download page of HP DL360G8 (cp021001.exe) from Driver - System Management.
3. The "HP ProLiant iLO 3/4 Management Controller Driver Package for Windows Server 2008/2012 X64 (American) from the correct drivers download page of HP DL360G8 (cp025786.exe) from Driver - System Management.
4. The "HPE Insight Management Agents for Windows Server X64 Editions" from the correct drivers download page of HP DL360G8 (cp030048.exe) from Software - System Management.
5. The "HPE System Management Homepage for Windows X64 (American)" from the correct drivers download page of HP DL360G8 (cp029674.exe) from Software - System Management.
After may hours of internet searching I accidentally came up with this recipe that worked.
Hope it will help a lot distressed admins.
