SolutionHi Mark,
"Error Code: Cache Disabled capacitor is not attached" indicates that the Smart Storage Battery has failed and needs to be replaced.
If you have warranty, or an active support contract you can create a HPE support case to replace the part.
If you would like to replace the part yourself, you will find the replacement instructions below:
HPE Support Center: https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-a00043757en_us&docLocale=en_US
YouTube (non HPE): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwrRZSpU9w4
The part you need is the Smart Storage Battery.
Spare part number: 878643-001
Part description: 96W Smart Storage Battery - One battery pack provides flash back write cache (FBWC) for all the drive controllers in the server - Connects to the system I/O board, 145mm (5.7-inch) long cable.

Kind regards,
Wouter

Re: HP DL380 Gen9 - Smart Array P440ar Controller in Slot 0 (Cache Disabled capacitor is not attache
Dear Wouter,
Thanks for your inputs!
I'll just need to check and verify the warranty status and support contract of our servers since 5 out of 21 servers are having the same issue/error.
Thank you and best regards,
Mark David S. Platon
