HP ML 350 G6 - Power
Hi,
What is the allowable frequency range at 50 Hz for a HP Proliant ML 350 G6 server with single power supply.
We have 50 Hz supply in our country. When purchasing a UPS for this server, I have to specify the allowable output frequency range (e.g 50 Hz +/- 0.1% etc..)
Can someone please advise in this
Thanks
Asela

Re: HP ML 350 G6 - Power
The quickspecs (http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c04286582) only say "50 to 60 Hz", it doesn't give a more detailed requirement.
I think you'll be fine with any commercially available UPS though. A 0.1% variation, for example, is hardly anything at 50Hz. They already design the power supply to handle a wide range of frequencies and voltages. Your frequency could probably have a variation of 1Hz (2%) and still be within spec.
