HP Proliant 380 Gen8 and Gen 9 Firmware/Driver updates
I am fairly new to HP servers and using them in a virtual environment like we have now. I am trying to learn more about these machines and need some information from the community. I have 7 VMWare esxi hosts that are all Proliant DL380 Gen 8 and Gen 9. Should I regularly update the firmware and/or drivers on these or is it just if I have issues with certain functions? Aslo, what is the best method to update them to the latest firmware and drivers? Could someone point me to a specific document on setting up iLO on these that are running ESXi 6.0, because currently we do not have it running and it is my understanding that this requires a license?
Thank you in advance!!

Thanks, but would you have something in English? Hard to follow this if I don't know what they are saying.

Re: HP Proliant 380 Gen8 and Gen 9 Firmware/Driver updates
Thanks. That actually answered some questions on configuring iLo on my hosts, but is there anything from HPE support that I can sit down and read about best practices, how-tos, and other documentation on performing firmware updates? I wnat to know exactly what I am getting into before I try to update one of these. I couldn't find what I was looking for on this youtube channel.

Re: HP Proliant 380 Gen8 and Gen 9 Firmware/Driver updates
I found the link below helpful. Is this always a supported option for installing HP Proliant DL380 firmware? This is telling how to install via VMware CLI. We do not have iLo configured, and do not have SPP or HP SUM. Do I need a license to use iLo, SPP and SUM?
