HP Proliant DL360 Gen9 SSD controller configuration

Hi

Sorry i'm a bit of a newb when it comes to these things, but i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

We had a server installed which has 6 SSDs,

5 are assigned to the Smart Array P440ar Controller.

1 is assigned to the Dynamic Smart Array B140i controller.

I want all 6 to be managed by the P440ar controller so i can use them all in 1 RAID array. How do i achieve this?

Thanks

Mick

Not sure if this current config is even supported ... all disks (is it a 8SFF system?) should be connected to a single controller.

However, open the chassis and check if both SAS cables are connected to the smart array controller.

Hope this helps!

thanks for the fast response.

Not sure what you mean by 8SFF system.

All we want is to have the 6 x 480GB SSDs on the same controller so we can use them all in a RAID  array.

Are you saying this desired config is not supported? or the the current config is not support, i.e 1 SSD to B140i/5 SSDs to P440ar?

8SFF - 8 small form factor disks (2,5")

I doubt about your current config ...

Hope this helps!
