HP Proliant DL380 G5 Dell SAS HDD
Hallo zusammen,
Google Translate
Hello everybody,
I would like to know if it is possible to install DLL HDDs in a Dl380 G5 with P400 controller.
I have used 2 pieces, which are all shown to me in orange.
I don't think the HP allows that, or I'm doing something wrong.
Can someone help me here?

Re: HP Proliant DL380 G5 Dell SAS HDD
Hi,
the Dell HDD if i try is:
DELL ST91000642SS-DELL ST91000642SS-DELL 1TB 7.2K 6G SFF SAS HARD
I have seen that the controller only supports SAS 3G HDD. The hard drive from Dell is a 6G HDD.
Right that if I swap the controller for a HP Smart Array P410 controller.
Thanks for yur help

Re: HP Proliant DL380 G5 Dell SAS HDD
Hi @janklabo ,
Cant comment on that.
However the Controller supports the 6G Drives but works in 3G Speed.
Refer the below for supported / tested Drives from HPE

Thank you
