HP Proliant DL580 G7 with P410i Smart Array controller
Greetings all. I have a simple question, but can't seem to find an answer to it. Is there a way to disable the P410i Smart Array controller from the command line or otherwise outside of the Controller's BIOS?
thanks in advance!

Re: HP Proliant DL580 G7 with P410i Smart Array controller
Hi,
The best option is, NOT to connect any cables to integrated controller if not in use.
As far as I know, within the BIOS or outside the BIOS, there is no such option to delete/disable controller.
During POST, Press F6 after P410i initializes and it will take you to Controller CLI and an option is available "Controller Delete". Check the attached pic in this post.
But I am not sure if that actually disables the controller (proceed at your own risk).
Good Luck!
Thank You!
