Hello,
in our small farm we have 2 HP ProLiant ML350 G6 Servers running clustered XenServer 7.
The first server (the main one for XenServer installation) this week has rebooted itself twice, each time throwing down the virtual machines associated with this server and creating a disservice.
From the logs that were generated on iLO 2 Event Log, I read the following message: "Caution iLO 2 Power restored".
As far as we know there has not been any power blackout in the last few days.
At the moment in the server room there is a temperature of 22 Celsius degrees .
Some of you have had similar experiences, could you advise me what to do in this case?
Thank you so much !!

Re: HP ProLiant ML350 G6 - Caution iLO 2 Power restored
Please make sure that all of the firmware of your servers is the latest version available. Do you have redundant power supplies in use?

Re: HP ProLiant ML350 G6 - Caution iLO 2 Power restored
Thank you very much for the answer, that I know the firmware is not updated for some time and we have not redundant power supplies in use.
I enclose the summary Screenshot of ILo 2.
Can you tell me about the recommended update procedure?
Thank you !!

SolutionAs this is a Xen Server installation you will have to update the firmware offline. Get the latest Service Pack for ProLiant for your model from the HP Support Site and boot it from DVD or USB Stick. I recommend using "Interactive firmware update" rather than "Automatic".
I also highly recommend to install redundant power supplies on your servers - those are not very expensive but very helpful in case of a power supply failure or power outage (connect the secondary power supply to a different fuse and/or USV than the primary, if possible)
