HPE DL380 gen8 - fan speed increase when adding Emulex HBA 82E card

After attaching the Emulex HBA 82E, the HPE DL380 gen8 server fan runs loud (43%). Please help me solve this problem. Thank you!

Hi,

Please check the card and slot compatibility and install it in correct slot.  If the card is installed in the proper slot, and still fan making loud noise, then update Server BIOS and iLO firmware to the latest.

I have tried installing on Windows Server 2016 and vSphere 6.5U1 (ISO file for HPE Server) are like that. I also tried all the different slots but the fan 5, 6 ran at high speed (43%). Firmware has been upgraded to the latest version (iLO version: 2.55, BIOS version P70 01/22/2018 and HBA firmware version 2.03X14).

I have some questions:

1. Does HPE 82E 8Gb (AJ763B) support Windows Server 2016 or vSphere ESXi 6.5U1?

2. I run HPE 82E 8Gb (AJ763B)  on HPE DL380 gen9 very well. Does HPE 82E 8Gb (AJ763B) support HPE DL380P gen8?
