Re: I need to reset the BIOS password on a Proliant DL380 G4
if you known the password you can do this
The Set Admin Password option is a simple character string with a maximum of seven characters.
To disable or clear the password, enter the password followed by a / (slash) when prompted to enter the
password.

Hi Vikas,
Removing the CMOS battery and change the system maintanence switch to ON. Wait for sometime. Put the battery back in place and with change the switch to OFF position. This will reset the BIOS password.

No it will not. This will only cause the server's clock to lose time. It does not reset the settings in the BIOS.

Re: I need to reset the BIOS password on a Proliant DL380 G4
It should say when you set the password that the max is 7 - I set one with more than 7 and it wouldn't accept my password found your post and entered the first 7 and worked fine.
