Incorrect information from Smart Storage Administrator
System Configuration:
- Proliant ML350 Gen10 (System ROM U41 v1.36 2018 Feb 14)
- Smart Array P816i-a (firmware version 1.34)
- HDD: 8TB SAS
- Drive Box: LFF hot plug SAS
Symtoms:
Drive Box number of HDD was found incorrectly shown in SSA as shown in attached screenshot.

Hi,
Double check the cabling, refer to Maintenance and Service Guide, page#129 onwards.
Also do check the hard drive model number if there is any firmware update available which may fix the issue.

HPE Engineer had visited 5 times already for firmware / software / hardware checking and replacing backplane of the HDD box. No more firmware update is required as reported by SPP 2018.03
It seems that critical patches are required for Gen10 machine.
