Install HPONCFG on VM?
I have 40 new DL380G9 servers to setup. I have experience with HPONCFG/RIBCL scripting with C7000 blades, and I want to leverage that knowlege with these new machines. When I try to install the HPONCFG utility (HP Lights-Out Online Configuration Utility for Winsows 2008/2012/2016 x64 v4.8) I get the error "Smart Component execution not support at this time in Server Virtualized Guest operating systems"
Is there a workaround for this? In my googling, I see references to other people using hponcfg in a VW, but I can't seem to get it to work myself.
