Installation of Windows XP Professional SP3 32bit on ML350p Gen8 Server

I urgently need to install Windows XP Professional SP3 32bit on the ML350p Gen8 Server with Smart Array P420.

After I tried inserting many type of 32bit drivers for SAS storage provided by HP and other Generic, it still does not work.

I tried and installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit on to the ML350p Gen 8 successfully.

I really urgently need to install Windows XP Professional SP3 32bit on the ML350p Gen8 Server with Smart Array P420.

Please let me know how to go about it.

Thank you very much and have a nice weekend.

Why not installing a supported OS and run XP in a virtual machine?

Hope this helps!

Not going to happen I'm afraid. Unless you do a VM as Torsten mentioned.

Windows XP is basically the same family as Windows Server 2003 and there is ZERO support for Server 2003 on Gen8 hardware.

ESXi and Hyper-V server (Not 2008 R2 with Hyper-V, but there is a separate download called Hyper-V Server) are both free to run as long as they are not managed by vCenter or SCVMM.

Then just run XP on top of that.
