Installed CentOS6.7 to DL20Gen9. However, strange log is output.

Installed CentOS6.7 to DL20Gen9 server configured RAID0.

However, strange log is output.

cat /proc/mdstat

-------------

Personalities :

unused devices: <none>

-------------

I confirmed /var/log/messages is

---------------

May 19 17:59:22 triton kernel: dmar: DRHD: handling fault status reg 2

May 19 17:59:22 triton kernel: dmar: INTR-REMAP: Request device [[00:00.0] fault index 13

May 19 17:59:22 triton kernel: INTR-REMAP:[fault reason 38] Blocked an interrupt request due to source-id verification failure

-------------

many many out put.

HP Dynamic Smart Array B140i Driver's version is 1.2.8-105 for rhel6u5

Don't you understand why does that such log go out of anyone?

I am sorry,  I'm not good at English.

I haven't looked, but I would assume if you are using the B140i with the hpdsa driver, mdstat won't show anything. mdstat is a tool for arrays built using the Linux md tools.

The DMAR errors are generall iommu related, what device are your attempting to pass-through to a virtual machine?

I see!! Thank you so much !!

I installed and used  "HP Smart Storage Administrator CLI" to confirm RAID.

I use show command. Result is "logicaldrive 1 (931.5 GB, RAID 0, OK)” !

> The DMAR errors are generall iommu related, what device are your attempting to pass-through to a virtual machine?

I did not intend to install it to virtual machine.

I selected USB DVD at Boot Menue and installed CentOS6.7 from DVD-ROM.

Then, I specified “grub edit > kernel /images/pxeboot vmlinuz blacklist=ahci dd” to install B140i driver .

The Drivers file was placed in USB memory stick.

Installation is success,

but while booting, following messages out put /var/log/messages

Re: Installed CentOS6.5 to DL20Gen9. However, strange log is output.

I tried to change Virtualization Options to disabled.

That log does not display.

Thanks.

Re: Installed CentOS6.5 to DL20Gen9. However, strange log is output.

Your title shows CentOS 6.5, but one of your messages shows CentOS 6.7.  Did you use the hpdsa DD image for the correct version?  There is a download for 6.5, 6.6, and 6.7

Re: Installed CentOS6.5 to DL20Gen9. However, strange log is output.

I'm sorry.

I told wrong CentOS version.

I installed CentOS 6.7 and use DD for 6.7.

Re: Installed CentOS6.5 to DL20Gen9. However, strange log is output.

Hello,

I had the same problem with a ML30 G9 and Centos 6.9. Message didn´t show again when disabled Virtualization options at BIOS settings.
