Intel Dialogic D/300 JCT-E1 Card Compatibility with HP DL series Servers

Can anybody please help me for the following....
Intel Dialogic D/300 JCT-E1 Card is compatibal for which HP make DL Series Server..???

I had tried with HP DL 380G5 server but the pcie slot is not matching..

Early reply on this is very much appriciated..

A bit of Googling indicates Intel Dialogic D/300 JCT-E1 is an "Universal PCI" card. "Universal PCI" means it can take either 5V or 3.3V operating voltage.

Therefore, it can fit in PCI or PCI-X slots, because PCI-X is backwards compatible with regular PCI as long as the card can operate on 3.3V.

The PCI-Express (PCIe) slots are not compatible with PCI or PCI-X cards.

For a DL380 G5, you would need to replace the standard PCIe-only riser card with an optional PCI-X/PCIe riser. The required option kit number is 410570-B21.

What you'll want is not the PCI-X riser specifically, but any server that has either a PCI or PCI-X slot. Right?

HP seems to be in the middle of transition from PCI and PCI-X to the newer PCIe technology.

As a rule, older servers have PCI and/or PCI-X slots by default. The newer models favor PCIe, but some PCI-X slots seem to be available for compatibility reasons.

To get a server that has a PCI/PCI-X slot for sure, you may have to find quite an old server. For example, a DL380 G3 would fulfill this requirement... but it is not produced any more. Even the G4 version has multiple riser configurations, so a random DL380 G4 might or might not be suitable.

If you're considering buying a new server, why don't you detail your requirements to a HP salesperson? Even in a generic form, like "Please make me an offer for a server that can take at least one full-length PCI Universal card and , as cheap as possible."
