Issue with DL360 G5
Hi folks, got a strange issue with a server. I dont see any OS issues so I am asuming it is a HW issue. The server just does not power on, either via iLO or manually. The HDD lights do not blink so I was thinking it might be a RAID controller issue. From the System Information screen in iLO, everything seems fine for the system health. The IML log just shows me the following:

Re: Issue with DL360 G5
so you see nothing displayed in ilo/direct monitor during POST?
Hard to tell what it might be. If it doesn't show anything you could look on system board for error leds, remove as many components as possible and see if you can find the bad part.

Re: Issue with DL360 G5
Hello,
Yes that is correct, nothing is displayed while powering on manually or from iLO. I will attempt to check components on the next visit.
Thanks

Re: Issue with DL360 G5
Try updating the server’s iLO firmware and the BIOS to the latest, from the following link:
http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/psi/swdHome/?sp4ts.oid=3288144
Once the firmware and BIOS is updated, remove the power cable from the server’s power supplies, then press the power button to power drain it. Once done, connect the power cables to the power supplies and power on the server and check if the issue is resolved.
If the logs exist, then login to the server’s iLO, click ‘IML’ at the left hand side and then at the top right hand side click on button ‘Clear IML’ and monitor the IML logs for some time to check if the issue is resolved.

Vijayasarathy
