limit 2 TB in file system

Good morning,

I have a ML350g6 server with controller P410i cache 256mb, 1 logic drive raid5 with 5 disks 1TB and 1 spare.

On the server is installed Windows 2003 that only sees 2TB, so I have a lot of unallocated space, how can i overcome the 2TB limit without having to reinstall everything, can I reduce the array by removing two disks and create two logical disks?

The server doesn't have UEFI bios to convert the disk from MBR to GPT.

Thanks a lot

Windows 2003 doesn't support GPT or partitions larger than 2TB.  You are stuck with the 2TB limit unless you upgrade to 2008 or higher.

Hi Jason,

thanks for the reply, but I did a write error, I wrote 2003 but instead I already have windows server 2008 R2

Sorry for the inaccuracy.

Thanks a lot
