ML110 g7 - sound card recommendation please - Win10
Hello
I've ended up with an Ml110g7 and it is running windows 10. It was running a small pci-e sound card with a CM18738 chip on it.
Click here to see what it looks like in ebay
https://www.cmedia.com.tw/products/EOL_PRODUCTS/CMI8738-LX
It was working, but at some point it no longer works, and is no longer detected. I think it happened with a windows update.
Yes I understand this is a server, and yes I get why it has no internal/onboard sound output device due to it being a server.
However I am hoping somebody has managed to find a sound card that does work with this, wheter it be pci-e or via USB etc.
Thank you
Greg

Re: ML110 g7 - sound card recommendation please - Win10
HPE has not tested any Sound cards on the server platforms.
ML110 G7 server has the below PCI specs. You may install a sound card compatible with the PCI specs at your own risk.
PCIe2x16 slot (16, 8, 4, 1)
PCIe2x8 slot (4, 1)
PCIe2x8 slot (4, 1)
PCIe2x4 slot (1)
Thank you
