Hello,
I just purchased a "refurbished" ML310e Gen8 with a P410 array. Raid array is 4 4TB SATA drives in a Raid 5 configuration.
I have tested all the hardware and updated to the latest firmware. Installed Server 2012 R2 and all HP drivers from the HPE SPP 8.1.
My issue is, I have no status LED's on the drives in the array. The LED's all flash during power up and then stay dark. All diagnotics show the array and the controller are working. Server boots normally.
Any ideas?

SolutionHi,
Smart Array P410 does not seems to be supported with HP ProLiant ML310e Generation 8,
https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/getdocument.aspx?docname=c04128120
so not sure on its functionality, however
"Off " status indicates =>No drive activity /The drive is not configured by a RAID controller.
Regards,
Sudhir

Re: ML310e Gen8 Smart Array P410 no SATA drive LED's
After looking at the specs, I have purchased a 631671-B21 HP Smart Array P420/2GB. I will report back on if it solves the no LED issue.
