NC105i PCIe Gigabit Server Adapter - 'Access: Local Only'
When I connect my ML150 G5 to our network, i get a 'Local and Internet' connection and can browse the internet, no questions asked. For testing purposes I need to put this machine directly onto our internet router, at which point the network connnection changes to 'Local only'. The adapter picks up the a public IP address and I can ping the gateway, but no dice getting onto the internet. It's very frustrating as I've hit the same brick wall after installing 2003/2008/Vista on this ML150 machine. Any other pc/laptop(vista/xp) i connect to the same router gets onto the internet fine and ipconfig shows identical settings all round...so it must be something to do with the Network card...any suggestions? (or do i need to pop down to PC world for another NIC?)
