P822 RAID Controller from an HP DL380 Gen8 to DL380 Gen10

Can one move the P822 RAID Controller from an HP DL380 Gen8 and the two external storage enclosures to a new DL380 Gen10? The long term goal is to upgrade the RAID Controller and the older MSA60 and the less older D2600, but for now just want to get them up and running.

DL380 Gen10 architecture does not support P822 controller and hence this configuration is not supported.

refer P822 quickspecs, this controller is limited to Gen8 only.

DL380 Gen10 quickspec, P822 is not listed nor supported.

Each server generation has an own list of supported controllers, there are only rare exceptions.

For an supported environment check the quickspecs of your server.

Here is a list:

Then you need to check for supported disk chassis and you will find out it is either the MSA G5 family or the D3000 JBOD.

Hope this helps!
